For the mermaid in your life... or anyone who hears the call of the ocean. This is my interpretation of the Japanese glass fishing floats found by especially lucky beachcombers along the Pacific Coast.
I tint the insides of the 3 inch clear ornaments this nice sea glass green, then macrame the net cover that acts to protect the glass- just like the authentic glass balls originally used by Japanese fishermen as floats before the era of plastics.
Finished with a spiral ornament hook accented with an opalescent faceted glass bead and two cultured pearls. These are very lightweight for hanging on your Christmas tree, for porch decor, or for any number of decorative uses where you want a beachy, nautical vibe.
